Looking to see who might be interested in attending Opening Weekend, Sunday April 22nd, 2012

Experience the twists, turns and world-famous Esses from the driver's seat, Opening Weekend at The Glen!
Take your car on the track for 3 paced laps, only $25 per vehicle!

. Gates open at 9:00 AM, laps begin at 10:00 AM, and gates close at 4:30 PM.

· Drive the historic road course to celebrate the opening of a new season.

· Purchase professional photos of your car on-site or on the web courtesy of Track Time Photos.

· Take photos in Gatorade Victory Lane where the stars of The Glen celebrate.


A ticket for a 3-lap session is $25 per vehicle. This takes about 20 minutes. If you’d like to go around again, please proceed to the end of the line and purchase another ticket.

Rides are also available at $25 per person . If you are interested, see one of the people standing at the head of the line for laps.

Portion of the proceeds will be donated to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

ill be there with my just purchased 06 ss (had a 07 ss prior.. couldnt work out a deal after lease came up so waited and saved and got 06 yr later).. went there once long ago when i had a 98 s-10 pickup lol

thanks and thanks... and loveeee ur 88 ummm like if u ever pass it on sometime down the raod ill take it.. i was born in 77 so growing up in 80s i was in love with ur style monte and the iroc z camaro... thats why i got a monte was a dream car since loving them back in the 80s.. didnt realize they didint have much hp... luckly i didnt know any of that stuff when i was a kid who knows how i woulda felt about them then.. but yea ur car is still a dream car for me someday.. black ss monte and a blue iroz z camaro yum...

 Yes, Thunder Road Tours does run them year round, But Opening Weekend has other things going on as well. Once the Car shows start, we seem to be busy every weekend anyways.

Cool!!! We'll have quite a bit of 6th gen presence there. Plus Matt and Tim bringing the 4th gens.

At the begining of April I'll contact the guy I spoke to and see if we can get a spot reserved to meet and hang out at.

We know were meeting at the gas station just off Exit 42 for 9:30

 I spoke to Dave C Jr. late last week. The pace car is a definite "no go". I think Sr. and Jr. are out as Jr. forgot about the event.

As of now the weather here is 75% of rain with a high of 48. The Glen on the other hand is a 40% chance of rain and a high of 54. Hopefully as the week goes on the forecast will change in our favor. Either way it will be fun.

Come on Good Weather!!!!!!

Tim, Matt and I talked yesterday. Depending on the weather, we'll make the call late Saturday afternoon. No use going in a downpour, there is no place to hang out and chat. If it's just a mist, then we'll probably go, but won't bring the 4th gens. My sons and mine are too squirrley in the rain.

drive driving mine with the mickey thompson with the drag radials on it. got stuck on the higway a few times with it in the rain.
