Say this from another froum. I believe this is from the someone that works at the tack. They have designated areas to park and show off your cars.


Good Morning!

I am very excited that it is event week for us FINALLY here at Watkins Glen International. The weather man says we will have cloudy cool temperatures – (which means potential for wet stuff)! I will keep my fingers crossed! As you know, road course conditions are rain or shine – and so will on track activity be this weekend regardless of the weather.



This email should serve as your RSVP confirmation. As the weekend draws closer – please share with me a more accurate car count so we can plan ahead of time for your arrival. Attached is a map and rules that each of your members will receive when they arrive with a few rules and regulations I thought might come in handy – and last here are a few housekeeping notes for your arrival -



SATURDAY ARRIVAL: All Groups please use Gate 3 for entering the facility. You will be asked to sign a waiver – any adults with children or passengers under 18 will need to sign a minor waiver for them.



SUNDAY ARRIVAL: All Groups please use Gate 2



Upon Arrival – follow signs to Group Paddock located on the south side of NASCAR garages.



After you purchase your laps at the Garage Entrance, you will be directed to the staging lanes. Please try to stay together and for groups larger than 20 cars - be prepared to stage in 2 lanes side by side, based on room and availability.



Following your laps – if you do not plan to leave the facility right away – we have arranged a small corral area for you to park on the south side of the NASCAR garages – starting at the fuel pumps and following the fence line back to the paddock. We have also arranged the Turn 10 grandstands to be open for track lap viewing – you are welcome to go over there and park as well.

k thanks.. yea u woulda think blue woulda shown up good..

those first 2 are devons and he kinda got bum pics of his car he got more front of it than rest of us

OMG! What a day!!! It was more like Montes in the mist. The fog was really bad and it being cold and wet wasn't making it any better. But........ Lap 1 we go flyimng through the twistys, the Monte stuck except for 1 spot that I may have gone into too fast. Then after the lap, We [as in the whole group of 20 cars] get stopped on the back straightaway and I get spoken too and then the guy stands up and yells at Tim! The last 2 laps were a blast! I really can't wait till next year!

Great to meet John and Devin too! And always fun to hang out with Matt and Tim. Hopefully next time it will be dry and we can get more cars there!

Dave, that really is a cool shot of your car!!!

Man what a day!!!!!! So Cool!!!! Definately should be on everyone list to do!!! the car did pretty good on the track, but probably slipped the most. As Matt would say i definately need that GP bar..... grrrrrrrrrr lol!!! The smaller rear sway and the 15's probably didn;t help either.

Great to hang out with everyone and meet some fellow Monte Carlo Lovers!!! Can;'t wait till next year!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Tim, Yeah that pic was a good one, despite the fog. I did have to use autofix to make it look better.

Matt that is a good pic as well. And you really need to post that once specific video!!! LMAO!!

John, use the photo program on your computer to autofix the picture, It's a great pic, but it doeesn't show the blue very well. I had the same issue, my car looked gray originally.

Cort, I have to upload the pics and the video, there will be more sometime this week.

Joe, it's something you need to do! Hopefully we can do a Saturday next year and it will be warm!

she looks so much better without the plate on.. sooo after u got home u take it back off since we didnt have any more trooper issues? lol

i wish on the 06/07 model they did same to the licence plate area to mine like u got.. only seen on vettes then on the montes for the 00-05 yrs.. at least even when u put ur plate on its still "inbedded" in the bumber unlike the 06/07 with the plate frame that sticks out a yrd on my bumper

Joe, We'll figure out something for you. Actually, I'd like to do it again in the fall.

John, That looks alot better. Well worth paying to have it printed and framed.

The Hood bra helps hide the stone chipped hood. Since the car is black it blends right in. And yeah, HID headlights off Ebay, Can't beat them.

Today was a BLAST! No doubt fun as heck. Was great meeting everyone, LOT of laughs today, lot of troublemaking haha! I had a great time though, all the cars looked great today! I've got a lot of pictures to go through and post as soon as I get out of work. I'll post the 'professional' ones of mine on the track here too, came out pretty good! Thanks everyone for the fun today, I really had a great time, my girlfriend had a great time too, and I can't wait for more meet ups and car shows! Pics comin asap I promise! Definitely have to do that again next year!

Here is a video I quickly put together. The quality is not all that good because I really had to compress the size for the upload.

vid - removed - it was incomplete for whatever reason???

So the longer version is the one I want here. I did use photobucket but I have a free version so I am going to assume that they may have a maximum size file or time limit. It only allowed me 10 min. and the video I want to post it 28 min. I am uploading to Vimeo now.

 yea our hoods do get alot of chips.. my 07 red one looked like i was behind a dump truck.. at the time the body shop guy at a dealership i was gonna ponder about touch up told me gm had issues with red .. he said red trail blazers where having chipped hoods as well..

surpirsed we didnt see any troopers on thruway with u leading us at 80 mph.. but wow was alot traffic on thruway too.. even at 75 80 the left lane was basically going that speed anyways so it wasnt just as if we where shooting pass anyone
