So I have been thinking of getting rid of the Avalanche for a short while now. With rising gas prices and 14mpg average, a possessed transmission that acts up when it wants and now needing a steering rack at 102k miles I decided to look around. I wanted to get something reliable, better on gas and a little more practical. Knowing me it couldn't be too practical though, lol.
Here she is!
If you can't tell it is a 2004 Monte Carlo SS Intimidator. It has 49,700 miles on it. It is a one owner car and has been in Florida it's entire life. It rides so nice and being supercharged it is quite peppy.
The original window sticker was in the glove box which I find to be so cool. I was hoping that the COA of being whatever number of 4000 was in there but no luck. Hopefully I will somehow be able to find out what number the car is. I'm off to drive it!
If you do decide to mod it at all, my buddy with the GTP has all sorts of goodies laying around, smaller pulleys etc that he'd probably part with for cheap, so let me know if you do. Just the few small things on the Regal made a huge difference.

Lol. You know what its funny that the rear trunk doesn't have the initimidator logon on it as well. Hmmm. I know its a real Intimidator as I have the window sticker. Makes ya think. Maybe it was one of the first produced for 04. I have no idea.
Thanks for the kind words everyone. I emailed Chevrolet and they were very responsive. I am very impressed with their customer service. My car is #2,712 of 4,000. They are going to mail me a letter of authenticity.
shes soo pretty and clean very nice lucky lucky grab... if it wasnt for fact i had a 07 ss(lease) i woulda never looked for another 06/07 ss (bought this one).. and having a v8 in mine i woulda loved to had found one like urs.. mine had 40k for a 06 and just got her so we both lucky for low mileage urs even more so being older and she looks so clean very clean
I ended up picking these up today. I saw a thread on another site with a link to Craigslist for them. These were brand new in the box and from what I have been hearing are becoming scarce.
The guy was pretty cool. He had a whole trunk full of Dale Sr. stuff. I ended up grabbing this stuff too. More stuff for the garage. Can't wait to throw the plate frame on. Perfect match.
I had a copy of my original window sticker, copy of the letter of authenticity that Chevrolet sent me and a dealer card or whatever it is called laminated at Staples.
My Intimidator was missing the rear deck lid badge. I ordered a really nice domed reproduction type and installed it. It is actually nicer then the factory installed badges.
