ok thanks.. any clue how it fails? when i got the car that same corner had a "failed" one as well and i had them fix it before i got car just wondering why again same corner if thats connected in anyway since ive had the tires rotated.. and is that under warrenty work since i bought extended warrenty or coming out of pocket and any clue how much
The reciever is part of the keyless entry module. If the battery starts to fail in the sensor, it will loose it's ability to transmit a strong signal. thus causing an intermittant light. Doesn't matter where the tire is on the car, they have the ability to send the same signal the same distance. But if that battery is weak, the reciever gets a "fuzzy" signal and considers that a fault.
Also, check your tire pressures, if you have one that is more than 3 PSI different than the others it will turn the light on as well.

GM had a bulletin on the receivers and changed the antenna on these as well. Karen's 07 would show TPMS issues then go away and the remotes only worked if you were very close to the car. now it is way better after they changed the stuff out.

yea u do gotta be real close to have remote work which then defeats point of it lol.. who woulda thought that a remote for the doors and engine start would have other signals involved.. i mean yea bunch signals all over car but to have it associated with the remote is dumb.. my dead grandma has said in her last placed she lived that when a plane would fly over sometimes it would open her garage door
