Joe, every year in june, I believe it's the second saturday, they have a car show at dale earnhardt chevy in newton nc. Here is the link for last year. No info yet for 2013

I took a look at the earnhardt show and thats over a 9 hour drive for me, plus June is pretty booked solid...if I did go, I'd have to take the monte....and I'm a bit scard with the 18 hour drive to and fro as well as driving around....so I'm probably out on that one...at least for this year...maybe another year

Watkins glen is 5 hours...so I may do it, but will need to make a full weekend out of it...

I may skip Super Chevy this year, but may try to do the Adirondak Nations, AKA the lake george show...I have heard mixed reviews about it, but definitely wanna go to it one year.....Basicaly it's a big show, with lotsa cruising around town at night....it's about 4.5 hour drive for me in September.

Carlisle, Super Chevy and Ocean City for sure. Olcott is just to far on a Holiday weekend for a one day show for me although I would like to go. Plus it's not a show where everyone stays in the same hotel. Probably out for Binghamton unless the group decides to do the Sunday show and leave Mon as opposed to the Sat. show.

also the May car show in Binghamton NY was real fun last year as well i will definitely go to that.
Another definite for me is Oktoberfest, that's in New Hampshire but it was a really good show and worth the drive

Every show is Min 4 hour trip for us!! nothing is ever in our area... and Seapirate and Carlisle are both in June! This year is going to be tough for us, but I hope we make Seapirate, Carlisle, & OC. :)

Just looked, the official show at adirondacks nationals is 1979 and oler, but I don't care about trophies so I can go just to cruise the streets and park in general parking to go to the show...looks like theres fireworks, and lotsa other stuff to do, so I may make the trip anyway...

Oktoberfest is in Salem NH, its an indoor and outdoor car show it is in Mid September. it was a lot of fun last year!

Hmmm I've been wanting to do a Northwest trip for a while...and at 4.5 hours it looks like thats doable...maybe I'll do lake george in 2013 and Oktoberfest in 2014..Take pics if you do go!

Also I am in for Cecil's show that Scott has in June.

As well as the Camaro Clubs Croton Dam cruise and Pumpkin run.....hopefully they are on seperate dates this year...

Too bad Joe, The Earnhardt Show is going to be fun. 9 hours seems short for you guys, it's almost 12 for us, not including stops.

Wait, 5 hour drive for you? Thats a day trip!!! We do that stuff all the time!

Just booked my room for GM Carlisle at the Quality Inn. Arriving on Thursday again and leaving on Sunday. $90.00 For Thurs. night and $149.00 for Fri. and Sat. night.

I'm planning to book my room for GM Nationals in a few weeks I waiting to see who's going where.I'm doing for sure Orient Point,Sea Pirate,Cecil if Tommy wants to invite again lol,Ocean City.Super Chevy is a maybe right now i wasn't to crazy about it.

I really like super chevy. I guess it is what you make it. I like having the vendors and the drag racing to break up the day and I like the hotel. Nice bar and congregating area. Also plenty of trailer parking space. I also like the drive from the hotel to the track, even if I miss a turn. A big plus for me is that it is under a three hour drive with little or no traffic.

I booked my hotel for GM Nationals im not staying at the Quality Inn to much money for me we will be less then half a mile down the road for $90 and we will be going Saturday early morning and hanging out and check out on Sunday.Its alot more affordable for me this way.But cant wait to go.

u think we could do watkins this time around all 3 laps without haveing to stop.. and hopefully no rain/mist.. that track was slick i even got carried away in one turn and had to regain her. almost over took the corner with the stream running down the track..(plus i have original tires, ill have new ones by then).. maybe we can all try get video cameras and strap them on roofs so we can get the offical nascar style view lol.. except u tim.. love the action inside in urs..

I'm gunna try and call tomorrow and reserve my room for the gm nats. I don't think there is a discount, it's hard to get one when the show is on and so many people are going.
Basically there is a deposit, which you put on your credit card, and then the rest is paid in full when we get there (either on cc or cash or whatever).

I'll let you know if I do get around to calling tomorrow.

When is Orient Point cruise going to happen this year I cant wait for spring.
