The system I bought, which is designed for a 78-87 Monte Carlo SS with the Double Hump Crossmember and headers DOESNT FIT!!!!! Its not even close. So now its being flat bedded to an exhaust shop to "make" it fit.
damn Scott.. same chit happened to me. that's how i put the x pipe off of John S's car a few yrs ago. didn't have the money at the time to do it correct. but it is corrected now.

dont exactly have the cash for it now either, insurance on the Chrysler is due next week and the garage project has started, but I need this car done. I just want to drive it!!!!!
ok, exhaust done, every pipe had to be bent to make it fit.
They are working on the steering column now, its a bit wobbly. Picking it up this afternoon.
Jim, cut outs are yours if you still want them. Do you want the Y pipe too? of are you going to get new ones? I will have to sawzall them off and will need work to make them work. You'll need a new harness, Summit sells them for around $20
glad to hear it's done Scott.
i'd love to add the cutout, but don't have the funds for them right now.
maybe you could send me pics of what or how they mount to see what i would have to do. i wouldn't need the y-pipe

Just saw the car, went to pay them and pick up the old parts. Looks good. I liked my old tips more, but these will do for now. I should have it home tonight.
Well, they are yours if you want them, I dont want anything for them. Im going to cut the Y pipes off the rest of the system so I can toss the pipes in the recycle bin.
