Booked a room, Thurs. night was only $90 and I think there is only 1 double left. I know I will be in class 115 but not exactly sure which GM vehicle modifications selection to make. Is the engine and everything attached to it one modification, lol?!

I was going to bring a friend to the GM Nationals, but he bailed out on me because he has to go to a wedding that weekend. It's good thing that I'm a serious procrastinator, as I haven't registered or booked a room yet. I was thinking of entering my car in the Standard of Excellence Judging (if it's not too late), but I don't want to go to Carlisle alone. Any suggestions?
There are quite a few of us going, you are more then welcome to join us. Hotel info is further back in this thread. If that is a pic of your 87 I know that car.
I just preregistered for the showfield, and I look forward to meeting many of you. Are most of you trailering your cars or will you be driving them to Carlisle? If you will be driving your cars to the event, will there be a procession of Monte Carlos? If so, are there meet up points along the route?
I took Frank's advice and just booked a room at the Quality Inn. I'd like to let anyone who hasn't yet booked a hotel room know, if you are a member of the Choice Privileges rewards program, you can get a room with a King bed for $118.15 a night. Total (with taxes) for two nights: $257.57.
If you're not yet a member of the Choice Privileges rewards program, you can fill out an application here:
I'm trailering from MA to the hotel on Thursday. Anyone else that trailers unloads at the hotel then drives to the show which is probably 5 or 6 miles away.

Welcome Joe! Same thing happened to me, had a buddy going and he bailed due to a commitment that arose. Good news is looks like my dad should be back in town in time to go which is even better! We will be driving up Thursday and it is my first time at this event so any guidance from you veterans is greatly appreciated.
BTW how many people from this and other forums registered under NYMCC total? I think if we get like 25 people the put a club tent up for us!

Thanks, Dave! While I'm a "veteran" when it comes to cars, I'm a newbie on this forum.
Growing up, I owned all kinds of cars, ranging from my first car, a 1970 Cadillac Eldorado in the early 80's, to a 1987 IROC-Z Camaro in the mid 00's. More recently, I owned a 2010 Camaro 2SS from February 2010 to September 2011. Even though I really was never much of a Camaro guy, I really liked that car, but since I never had time to enjoy it, and my insurance was about to skyrocket as I could no longer keep it registered in Florida, I decided to sell it. I only recently got back into cars with the acquisition of an '87 Monte Carlo SS.
The last organized event that I participated in was a New York 5th Generation Camaro Club run from Long Island to the GM Oshawa Assembly Plant in Ontario, Canada for the Camaro Homecoming and 23rd Annual Ontario Camaro Nationals in June 2011. Since I was upstate visiting a friend in the Binghamton area at the time, I joined the convoy at the I-81 rest stop just south of the PA/NY border. We stopped for lunch at a Cracker Barrel in Syracuse, crossed the Canadian border by mid afternoon, and got to our hotels by nightfall.
I was wondering if anyone knows how many members of the NYMCC will be attending GM Carlisle next month or if there is going to be a club procession so members can meet up and drive to Carlisle together? Even if there isn't an organized club run, I wonder if anyone who is traveling from Long Island, Brooklyn, Staten Island, or the areas of New Jersey along I-78 would be interested in meeting up for a multi-car procession to Carlisle?
Joe,
Shoot me a pm with your phone # and I will call you!!!
We do caravan to most events, most are from LI, and1 guy from SI, we meet up along the way there, we can set up a meeting spot for you to!!
Jenn, will you be in the caravan up with us Friday morning?
We meet at rt111 and the LIE gas station at about 8:45 and roll at 9am to begin the trip.
Let me know!!!
I am set with mine as well, but I'm going with the GTO, as for itinerary for the newbies:
So Friday some want to go to that track again.
I believe Devin and crew need to meet up with Mike to tune his car and then go to the airport to take a photo shoot with an airplane out in front like with did last year.
Either way after we will be probably going to red robin to eat.
Saturday is standard, go to the show, then we can do buffalo wild wings like last year, then go-karts after
Sunday head to the show gather trophies see who won, go home
Hows that sound to everyone, any other ides for Friday night?
Joe

Sounds good to me Joe, Yes at some point Friday i do need to meet up with Mike and he can upload my tune, but that wont take long
In fact if some wanna go to the track and the rest hangout and do pics down the street at the airport, we can all just meet at red robin at a certain time after!
Got my sticker in the mail but too lazy to go look at the number on it

So any idea when and where anybody is meeting up on Friday and Saturday? I know there are some ideas but nothing concrete yet. Also, and I asked this on MonteCarloSS.com too but are we going to try to park together in show field and if so what time are we cruising in together. Sorry for being such a newb, never been.
Trailer is cleaned and ready, Hot Rod grill ir ready, fill the ice chests tomorrow night and load the car. Should be ready to roll out by 0800 Friday Morning.
