Just waiting on Matt to get home from work and Tim to arrive and then it's pack up the cars and were on the road!!! Michigan here we come!!! Too bad the Super Chevy show got cancelled, but we will be at the races on Saturday and have a back up car show to attend Sunday. Plus we got a few places to check out and hoping to hook up with the Michigan Monte Carlo Club one evening.

Well, Michigan didn't turn out the way we wanted it to, but we did get to see some great racing! Sunday was a complete wash out on 2 shows, so we checked out the Henry Ford Museum. Some cool stuff in there. Now that that is out of the way, time to start working on the 86 SS. Dropping the heads off at the machine shop tomorrow after work. Hope they come back early next week and I can start assembling.

Frank. Just waiting on the machine shop, got all the gaskets here and shouldn't take me more than a four hours or so. I'm dying to get it running again!

Yes, Maple Grove is the largest of the series, But after going for 3 out of the last 4 years, it was pretty much the same cars. We like to mix it up more.

Well, this week has been rough! I am beginning to think someone put a curse on me. Last week I cracked a tooth, Then found out I need to have it surgically removed. Monday I had a piece of a chisel come apart and nick my arm cutting a vein. Lost quite a bit of blood too! Didn't realize it squirts that far! Got the car back together, but still not 100%. Need to figure out why it only will run with 42* base timing and what's causing it to bog down when I jump on it.

I'm thinking the outer ring on the balancer has shifted. Won't even idle or rev up at 10*. I'll deal with it in a few weeks when I have some. Next week I got 3 side jobs and were heading back to Watkins Glen for the race next weekend.

 I hear ya.  Just not a lot of choices out there.  The one day car shows where you show up in the morning park your car and leave 6 hours later is not for me.

Hi Ma!!! Miss you too! I'm careful, accidents happen. My arm healed fine, and I get the tooth removed on July 17th.

Spent all last week working long hours, side jobs after work, plus getting totally soaked at the races last weekend. But it was fun!

Tomorrow, I need to fix the brake line in the truck and then I get play with the SS again.

Got back from Jim and Karen's. Great trip and lots of fun! Cave tour was really cool! And of course Jimmies grilling was awesome!!!

Even got to see a motor home roll over on a off ramp on the way home. That was nasty!

Another awesome weekend!! Matt and I were at Mid Ohio Sports car Course for the Pirelli World Challenge and the Honda 200 Indy race this weekend. Great weather and lots of great wheel to wheel racing! Made it home in time to catch the Sunday race and get some work done on the SS.
Finished the intake manifold gasket, swapped the harmonic balancer. Reset the timing and adjusted the carb. She runs strong now! No hesitation at all. just need to clean it up for next Sunday's trip to Summit Racing.

I figured you would be Jim. It's too nice to leave out back all the time.

Took this weekend and hit a junkyard for some truck parts, But Jack ended up getting the best deal. Next weekend I have to work at the gun club, then head to the garage and give it a good wash down. Been lazy about cleaning lately and it shows.

LOL! Yeah, Somehow I don't think it's going to work out with her. The new job is being a little tough on her schedule. But I'm working on it!

This weekend was one of those rare times when all of us got together for a car show. Tim, Matt, Matthew, Jack, Cam and Myself were out in full force Sunday. Matt took 1st in the Stock Class with his Buick, Matthew beat me with 2nd in the Modified class while I got 3rd.

Summer is over and only a few shows left. Then its Junkyard season!!!

Hey Guys, I haven't been around lately due to family issues. My Father fell off a ladder or the garage roof, still haven't got the same answer twice. He's been in the ICU in a drug induced coma for a week and a half. Been rough for the last few days. Take care and I will pop in when I can.

Thanks Guys! Been a month now and they finally moved Dad from the ICU to a private room. They took him off the sedatives Last Sunday, and now it's all up to him to start coming around. Doctor said 2 weeks maybe longer for him to flush it all out of his body. And then nobody knows what condition he will be in. It's going to be a long winter....

Haven't had the 86 out in over a month. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice so I'm hoping to get it out for one last blast.

Thanks Guys. I was there tonight and he has started to move his right hand a little more. I told him he needs to work on the left side, since there has been no response at all, After me saying that he started to twitch his left arm. After a few tries he moved his hand. I'm taking it as a an improvement. Now if he could juts open his eyes or try to talk. But the doctor says that may take weeks.

I'm not giving up! I have been there just about every night since he was admitted. Now I need to find time to get stuff done around here!
